Today is a very sad day for staff and volunteers at APR. Chance, Tommy and Licker have all recently crossed rainbow bridge. Many of our cats suffered in the days after Hurricane Irma with no power and the overall stress and Chance and Licker had been ill for quite a while. We know they are all running free without pain but we will certainly miss them. Tommy, a sweet handsome boy always comforting other cats; Licker always wanting to give you kisses and dear Chance. When he wasn't trying to escape the room for a little special attention he was busy talking to all visitors making sure they knew he was there. Things will not be the same without all of you. RIP sweet friends.

Poor ScareCrow was brought to us when his owner could no longer keep him because he was moving. His other housemates found home but no one wanted ScareCrow because he is black. His owner says hes a very sweet cat but here at the shelter he is so terrified that he just wants to hide all day. He hasn't adjusted at all to shelter life, it is urgent that he finds a home as soon as possible. Please come in to meet this sweet boy. He loved to perch on top of his dad's shoulders now he doesn't want to come out from under a blanket. Can you help poor ScareCrow find a new family? #abandonedpetrescue #blackcat #adoptdontshop
