Founded in 1907, Peoria Christian School, is a small school in an idyllic rural setting, less than 10 miles from Historic downtown, Pella, Iowa—home of the famous Tulip Time (during which Peoria students and staff don traditional Dutch costumes and ride old bikes in the parades). Emphasis on personalized learning support, classroom facilitators (large volunteer group), Spanish taught in grades 1-8, 1:1 technology K-8, use of Institute for Excellence in Writing, and the incorporation of modern technology into daily instruction. Extra-curricular activities include: hydroponic greenhouse club, band 5-8, bell choir, sports (volleyball, basketball, and track), computers, and logic. All curriculum and instruction is delivered through the lens of a Biblical worldview.
