Set in Laramie, Wyoming, Cathedral Home for Children has been dedicated to the care and welfare of children since 1910. We began as an orphanage and a refuge for homeless and dependent children. Today we stand as a not-for-profit interdenominatioal program serving troubled and traumatized children. In 1995, we began our Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing program to help troubled and traumatized deaf and hard of hearing children.
Cathedral Home's campus consists of five cottages (Deaf and hard of hearing children are integrated into two of these), a full-service and accredited school, a Children's Chapel, an Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Program, a nurses office and an administrative building. Off campus, we have established the Laramie Youth Crisis Center (LYCC) and the Carbon County Youth Crisis Center (CCYCC). Both are an immediate response to children and families in crisis. We also offer two in-town homes for youth transitioning into the community.
Located two miles north of Laramie, Cathedral Home is dedicated to serving the youth of today, making sure that the programs that we provide give them the skills to live happy and successful lives.
