We’ve come a long way since 1928. Originating in Vidalia, La, our original company, Louisiana Tractor and Machinery Company, became an authorized dealer for Caterpillar equipment, in 1933.

Over the next three decades, Louisiana experienced a boom in residential and commercial construction, onshore and offshore petroleum development, levee construction, rural and city highways and lignite mining, and Louisiana Machinery was right there to meet the needs of its customers.

Now known as Louisiana Cat, the founding family is still striving to provide customers with the same top-quality and service expected. Today, we operate out of 17 Louisiana locations with our corporate headquarters in Reserve, La.
