Charles R. Pennington, founder, began his career pouring residential foundations. In 1970 he opened his own ready mix company and sold the business after 5 years of successful operation. Charley then began building homes, first with a partner and then as Pennington Homes. Returning to the ready mix business, Pennington established Charley’s Concrete in Keller, Texas in 1985. Charley's opened with seven mixer trucks and a commitment to provide superior quality and service.
After more than 27 years in the industry, Charley's has grown to eight plants. With five locations and a dedicated team, we are the company to meet your concrete needs.
Looking to the future, Charley's Concrete is actively supporting new research in all areas of construction to better serve our customers. We believe in moving forward with new technology and training.
Brent Pennington, President and CEO now operates Charley's Concrete. Brent, like Charley, began his career finishing concrete. He has been with Charley’s Concrete from the beginning and is well versed in all aspects of the operation. With his years of hands-on experience and mentorship given by his Father, Brent has a deep knowledge and understanding of the concrete industry and customers needs. Brent is committed to continue to build the company on the foundation of quality products, efficient service and philanthropy.
