BMA of Hickory is opening a new school location at the Foothills Gymnastics Training Center. At this time, classes will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. Whether you are starting karate for fitness, self-defense or personal development, you've chosen a safe, family-oriented environment for learning. Led by Sensei David Washco, Bushido Martial Arts Academy is a modernized Japanese/American style of karate known as Heishin Bushidokai. Students receiving this real world training have an edge when a confrontation arises. Whether you are a beginner, or a more advanced student; our class structure allows you to train and progress at a pace that's appropriate for you. As a beginner, you will learn the basic techniques and etiquette of Heishin Karate. These new physical skills combined with self-discipline and a more confident attitude will form the foundation for your ongoing karate training and personal development. Any person, regardless of age or sex can benefit from martial arts training at our academy. The skills acquired carry over positively into all aspects of life. As a class, all students participate in the various activities associated with the training of excellent martial artists.
