Home from school with a little more lbs than you left with? Check out our Summer Student Memberships and tell us #whygetactive Repost from @shawna.denmon using @RepostRegramApp - Just another fitness post!!! Many of you know it as the freshman 15 but in my case it seemed more like the freshman 50. I found myself skipping meals and eating fast food more often than not. I lived a very sedentary lifestyle going to school and coming home and relaxing, hardly participating in any psychical activity. Once I grew insecure with my body and unhappy with my lifestyle I began devoting 6 days a week to working out and changed my eating habits to a more nutrient dense diet. Everyday I began practicing self love exercises to grow my self esteem and after a few weeks I began noticing big changes. My confidence grew immensely and stepping out of my comfort zone started getting easier and easier. I've learned to love myself through every stage in my life and to never give up on yourself. Now don't get me wrong, I still enjoy my five guys and Steak 'n Shake but I now know how to balance the good and the bad (for the most part). I got active to take one step into making myself the best version of me possible, no matter what your reason is I encourage you to never give up or doubt yourself!
