As a dance performance training school with focus in ballet technique, Uptown Dance Centre offers a broad range of classes for all ages, combining the traditions and heritage of dance with the most current and innovative trends in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern, hip-hop, pas de deux, ballet variations, contemporary, Pilates, and yoga. In addition, Uptown Dance Centre has a pre-professional student company for those who may wish to pursue a professional career in dance, giving them more training opportunities and performance exposure.
Our school was established in order to bring the highest quality of dance training in Houston. We are interested in training dancers of all levels and abilities to bring them to their fullest potential as a dancer, to foster a life-long love and appreciation of dance, and to provide a quality performance experience which will instill confidence and poise. We continually evaluates each student’s progress and objectives so they can be placed in a class where they will thrive and be challenged. Every professional instructor we employ is trained in both the styles of his/her specialty and educational methods. Our goal is to bring out the dancer in every student who walks through our doors.
