Red rock canyons, pristine rivers, high-desert mesas, aspen groves and snow-capped peaks – this is our backyard! We live and play where we run our programs, so we can run safer and more seamless expeditions. A small business, still run by the original founders, Doug and Beverly Capelin, we can offer you unrivaled personal attention, and the utmost quality in instruction, gear, curriculum, and especially food! We provide delicious vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free options on all our programs.
Check out our trips. Each has its own theme and personality, from Ancient Pathways – an adventure program steeped in the fascinating past and present of the Navajo, to Southwest Journey – an action-packed voyage across the Southwest including rafting the Green River in Utah, service in a Hopi pueblo, a climbing camp, a peak ascent and a mountain biking expedition on Colorado’s famous trails. Older teenagers will be interested in Wildworks, an innovative combination of adventure and service Wilderness Leadership, an ultimate journey across the American Southwest, a rite of passage, and an induction into Deer Hill’s culture of leadership.
