WGN-TV, whose call letters are derived from the Chicago Tribune's first slogan, "World's Greatest Newspaper", hit the airwaves on April 5, 1948 on Channel 9 in Chicago from its studios at Tribune Tower. We currently broadcast from our studios at 2501 W. Bradley Place in Chicago, and feature the best local news, syndicated programming, the CW Network, and of course WGN is the broadcast home of the Chicago Cubs, White Sox, and Bulls.
