Here at Congress, we maintain a rigorous daily schedule which promotes academic excellence for all of our students.
We are a diverse language center offering ESL support to students and families! Congress holds grades preschool through 5th. We provide all-day preschool and kindergarten options.
Congress Elementary offers Parent Teacher Community Council (PTCC), United Way's "Schools of Hope" tutoring programs and Kids Hope programs to students who need more help or a mentor. We also offer the LOOP After-school Program through Grand Rapids Parks and Rec, which features enrichment activities, homework help, physical exercise, arts and crafts, and intensive reading help for struggling readers.

Congress is a neighborhood school with a geographic attendance area covering the neighborhoods of Midtown, East Hills, Eastown and Fulton Heights. Students who reside in our attendance area are eligible to enroll at Congress!
