Aqua Calm is a retail pet store specializing in saltwater, freshwater, plants, corals, aquariums, maintenance, and supplies. The store was founded in November of 2003 by Garrett Kruckeberg, a fifteen year old high school student, who was tired of being sold fish that would die within a week. Garrett believed that the mortality rate of saltwater and freshwater fish would be greatly reduced if proper care were given to the fish at the retail level; his experience has proven that this to be true.
When Aqua Calm originally opened its doors in 2003, it was a small one room fish store with ten saltwater tanks, each of which was only ten gallons. Shortly thereafter, he moved into a larger room, increasing his tank numbers to fifteen along with a fifty-five gallon show tank. Eventually, additional space was obtained and the store now has more than 30 tanks displaying a wide variety of freshwater and saltwater fish with a beautiful 150 gallon tank dedicated to corals as the centerpiece of the store.
The goal at Aqua Calm is to provide the best for less, to provide quality service, to sell healthy fish at competitive prices, and to ensure a clean and friendly atmosphere.
