Hoiles-Davis Museum

The Bond County Historical Society was founded in 1955 by historian John Nowlan after he called on residents to form a group in his weekly Greenville Advocate column. Since that time the society has collected many artifacts, published books, and helped preserve many parts of Bond County’s history. In 1999 they acquired a brick Victorian era home in Greenville, Illinois and opened the Hoiles-Davis Museum. Today the museum is open for self-guided tours on weekends from May through October (open only first Saturdays November through April) and each year displays new exhibits on different aspects of our local history.

Groups welcome. Advance notice required for guided tours. Admission by donation.

The museum operates under the Bond County Historical Society and the Kingsbury Park District.
