Salon Service Group was established in 1987 as a distributor of professional hair care products. From the beginning, Salon Service Group has been dedicated to excellent service, quality products and building partnerships. Gino and Dana Barbo are the co-owners of Salon Service Group, Inc. - a privately held corporation.
Gino founded the company with only one product line (KMS), an answering machine and a Ford Thunderbird. Gino began by renting the basement of an insurance agency in Ozark, Missouri. He quickly found himself visiting salons all day and packing orders in the evening. As the business began to grow, Gino realized he couldn’t continue without some help. It wasn’t long before Dana became involved. Together, Gino, Dana and many others have built Salon Service Group into a professional organization we can all be proud of.
