The Jacob Center was founded in 1988 by three social workers. Jacob, a family name, is historically associated with healing and also refers to an ancient surveying instrument, (A Jacob staff) whereby people could get their bearings.
The Jacob Center serves at risk youth and families in Northern Colorado, providing community based services that focus on empowerment and resiliency.
Professionals and community residents compromise the board and staff.
