ACCA will be participating in North State Gives November 28th. Please save the date and make your donation at www.northstategives.org! Each year at Thanksgiving and the week following, we have a day for giving thanks, two days for getting deals, and we also have a nationally recognized day for giving back - Giving Tuesday – this year on November 28th. We invite you to “give where you live” for the benefit of our local nonprofits that do such important work in Shasta and Siskiyou Counties during our #NorthStateGivingTuesday event! This year we have given this nationally recognized annual giving campaign a special twist. By making an online donation at northstategives.org on Tuesday, November 28th between 6 AM and 6 PM, your dollars will go further thanks to incentives of more than $75,000 provided by Shasta Regional Community Foundation to participating North State nonprofits, specifically those in Shasta and Siskiyou Counties! From our work at the Community Foundation, we’ve learned that every gift counts, that we care for one another in our region, and that we do make a difference with our giving. Please help us reach our goal of $150,000 in total donations made to over 50 participating nonprofits at www.northstategives.org between 6 AM and 6PM on November 28th. At the secure online web portal you can designate your donation to one, or many nonprofits in Siskiyou and/or Shasta County. One-stop annual giving! Donors can be assured that their investment will go further thanks to our $75,000 incentive partner, the Knodel Family Endowment Fund of Shasta Regional Community Foundation which will amplify every donation – each participating nonprofit will share in this pool. To make it exciting and fun, nonprofits can compete for prize challenges throughout the day and motivate their donors to help them win extra cash. Outreach and business partners in the region’s communities have been incredibly generous in their support of the North State Giving Tuesday event as active ambassadors getting the word out and encouraging others to do their year-end giving online in an effort to strengthen our nonprofit sector. North State Giving Tuesday is led by Shasta Regional Community Foundation and generously supported by Redding Bank of Commerce.

August ACCA has been Blessed in so many ways, was a busy month children going back to school with new backpacks and clothes with so much help from our community. Our garderners with so much fresh produce. GNRM with extra bread and Pizzas. POP with donation of cat and dog food. Churches in community bringing monthly donations. Safeway with delivery of summer food drive. Anderson Grocery Outlet with their many donations and Kent's Meats. A huge thank you to all the volunteers that are so faithful with their time, with out you there wouldn't be a ACCA. We have open computer time on Tuesdays & Fridays 10 a.m. - 1:45 p.m. If you need help with a resume or job search. Budget classes or goal setting. Come learn how to be a good community member and use your God given gift. Guess that is what has happened in August, always remember every donation every person counts.
