Mabel Mary ( Peterson ) Graese age 97 was called to her heavenly home on May 23, 2017. Mabel resided at The Deerfield Gables the last five years. As a young lady she worked for Olaf Olson in Star Prairie. She had met Walter Graese through brothers and sisters. Walter served in the Army branch and upon his return home after WWII they married on June 15, 1946. Mabel and Walter had two daughters – Julie and Carolyn. They farmed where Mabel became a wonderful gardener loving her vegetable gardens and many flower gardens. She was a stay at home Mom while the girls were young and once they started their high school years and older did she go out to work again. She worked for Blanca, Arsonal, Pine Cone Factory making wreaths. Mabel was a life-long member and the oldest member of West Immanuel Lutheran Church, where her faith enriched and encouraged her to be very active in the congregation. Walter and Mabel retired to Roberts in 1993 to be nearer to their daughter Carolyn and Wayne and their family. Family was very important to Mabel and she enjoyed visiting and being with her large family, as well as her grandchildren. Mabel is survived by her daughter Julie (Jerry) Glenna, Son-In-Law Wayne Korbel, Sisters Lillian Hanson, Adeline (Don) Christopherson, Sister – In – Law June Peterson. Grandchildren: Troy Korbel, Chad (Ashley) Korbel, Daniel (Marti) Korbel, Crystal (Mark) Meser. Great Grand Children: Trenton, Tyler, Caleb, Alex, Mason, Allison, Halee, Michaela, and McKenzie. Many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by: Husband Walter Graese, daughter Carolyn Korbel, Parents Gena and Ingval Peterson. Brothers: Clifford Peterson, Kenneth (Hilda) Peterson, Harland (Viola) Peterson, Melvin (Mary Jane) Peterson. Sisters: Idella ( Albin) Walby, Alice (Curtis) Johnson and Helen (Floyd) Engebretson; brother-in-law, Warren Hanson. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 11:00 am at West Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Osceola. Visitation will also be Wednesday from 10-11 am at the church. Interment will be in West Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.

Curtiss Arden Anderson, age 87, of New Richmond, WI passed away May 24, 2017. He married Elaine LaMirande in 1951 and they enjoyed 66 full years together in New Richmond where they raised their family and engaged actively in church and community. Curt was born and raised in Star Prairie, the oldest child of Hartford and Pearl (Mork) Anderson. He devoted his 67-year career to the customers and employees of Johnson Motors. For Curt, it was more about the people than the cars. Curt is survived by his wife Elaine, children Mick (Connie), Michele (Jim) Hermansen, and Marin (Kevin) Hansch; grandchildren, Chris Anderson, Greg Anderson, Chad (Mandy) Anderson, Stephanie (Mitch) Campeau, Scott Anderson; Kristi (Jeff) Johnson, Jacci (Ryan) Fedeler, Ryan Hansch, Kayla Hansch; great-grandchildren, Cale Anderson, Caden Anderson, Etta Campeau, Michaela Campeau, Jaxon Fedeler, Bradyn Fedeler, Elin Johnson; brothers Owen (Roxann), Larry (Susan) and sister Carrie (David) Peterson, sisters-in-law Margaret Anderson, Ione Belisle, Angie LaMirande and Sally LaMirande, and brother-in-law Roger (Trudy) LaMirande. Preceded in death by parents, brother Dwight, infant brothers John and Wendell, sister-in-law, Gloria (Wilbur) Ostendorf and brother-in-law, Joseph LaMirande Jr. Visitation Friday, May 26, 4-7 pm at Johnson Motors with Masonic Service at 7 pm. Celebration of Life Sat., May 27, 11am at First Lutheran Church, 218 County Trunk K, New Richmond with visitation one hour before. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to First Lutheran, Westfields Hospital Foundation or Shriners Hospital for Children Twin Cities. Ronald James Wittstock, age 72 of Osceola, WI and Apache Junction, AZ, died on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at his home in Arizona after a long battle with cancer. Ron was born on March 7, 1945 in Emerald, WI. He served his country in the Army. Ron was a hard worker, and spent his career of 50 years as a roofer. He loved the Packers, and enjoyed fishing and NASCAR. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother and uncle. He liked good food and was accomplished on the grill. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Karen Wittstock; and daughter, Michele Wittstock. Ron is survived by his wife, Claudia Wittstock; siblings, Richard (Cherie) Wittstock, Marion (Roger) Gust, Edward (Melba) Wittstock, Susan (Steven) Rudd, Joanne (Bill) Neuman, Eileen Wittstock, John (Judy) Wittstock, Roger (Dianne) Wittstock, Shirley (Jim) Schweitzer, Mark Wittstock, Paul (Melissa) Wittstock; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 11 am at the New Richmond United Methodist Church. Visitation will also be on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 10-11 am at the church. Pearl Emerson, age 95 of New Richmond, WI, died on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the Deerfield Gables in New Richmond. Pearl was born the daughter of Albert and Dorothy (Witzel) Strese on August 21, 1921 in New Richmond. She graduated from New Richmond High School with the class of 1940. Pearl worked for the local telephone company. On July 10, 1953 she was married to Robert Emerson at the First Lutheran Church in New Richmond. Pearl loved being a mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time at their place on Yellow Lake, and was an avid Packer, Badger and Twins fan. She was sweet and kind, and a fastidious cleaner. She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Dorothy Strese; husband, Robert Emerson; and sister, Norma (William) Olson. Pearl is survived by her children, Terry “Butch” (Sam) Emerson, Bobbi (Brian) Donovan; granddaughters, Vicky and Tracy Emerson; special grandson, Kevin Donovan; sisters, Lois (Doug) Anderson, Lucille (Robert) Haeg; and many other friends and relatives. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 11 am at the First Lutheran Church 218 County Road K New Richmond. Visitation will also be on Wednesday from 10-11 am at the church. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Somerset, WI. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.
