Mediation Center of Dutchess County

Founded in 1983, the Mediation Center of Dutchess County provides mediation services and training to help people address conflict by expressing their needs, hearing the other's point of view, and making decisions. The Center's services are provided by staff and certified volunteer mediators. Mediation is offered for the following:

Family: parents for custody/visitation/child support or other parenting issues; parents and teens for responsibility and respect, friends, school, and other issues,

Community: small claims, landlord/tenant, neighbor/neighbor, consumer/merchant, employee/employer, interpersonal disputes and others,

Special education/Early intervention: parents and school to discuss a child's educational plan,
Wise Talk: conflict resolution for older adults, their families and communities,

Divorce: separating couples explore and make decisions to obtain a separation and divorce,

Workplace Services: helping organizations address conflict constructively,

Agricultural Disputes: neighbor and family conflicts around land use, business, etc.
