In the late 1970s, Augusta Mall and Regency Mall opened within a week of each other. It is estimated that over 2 million square feet of retail left Augusta's downtown to go to the malls.
In 1982, we founded Augusta Tomorrow, Inc. as a not-for-profit organization to find ways to energize Augusta's floundering urban core.
