Once Upon a Barley's Greenville is located in a 19th century hardware and feed store one block off Main St. in historic downtown Greenville. Although Barley's Greenville was originally opened in 1996 as the second store to the Barley's in Asheville, NC, it was sold in 2003 to its then General Manager. Since then, the focus of Barley's has been to create the single best beer selection in the Southeast and to expand an already excellent food menu to further grow Greenville's favorite pizza and beer emporium.
Over the last 15 years, Barley's has been the regular recipient of local "Best of" awards for its pizza, beer list, poolroom, bar and best place to hang out. The spacious dining room is always filled with the smell of fresh sourdough pizza that is made in house everyday, as well as our award-winning calzones, sandwiches, pastas and salads.
With 72 carefully-selected craft beers on tap as well as over 200 bottled beers, our knowledgeable staff can find a beer for even the pickiest of drinkers. After dinner, head upstairs to to enjoy one of our six regulation-sized slate pool tables available by the hour. Or, try out one of our free dart lanes, play some foosball or try your hand at downtown's only shuffleboard table.
