Hobbs Jewelers was founded in 1984 in Ardmore, Tennessee, by Steve Hobbs and his brother. Hobbs quickly became known through out the area for their selection and value. In 1989, Hobbs Jewelers opened its second store in Athens, Alabama. During this time, their father, Ed Hobbs, and their sister, Teresa Russell, joined the business. From 1989-1999, both stores served the North Alabama area. Then, in 1999, a decision was made to combine the two stores into one large store. The Athens store continued to be managed by Steve Hobbs, and in 2002, Hobbs Jewelers moved to its new location, a spacious 3500sq ft free standing brick store. Hobbs Jewelers is known through out North Alabama for their quality, value, and service. In fact, Hobbs Jewelers has the largest bridal selection in North Alabama.
The Hobbs Family has been recognized as business leaders in Limestone County, Alabama, for over 60 years. Hobbs Jewelers believes customer service is a family tradition.
