James N. Ong, DMD attended The University of Miami for Undergraduate, and graduated from University of Florida at Gainesville Dental School in 1992. He practiced in Orlando, Florida, for 10 years before moving to Key West in 2003 and taking over Key West Dental Associates from Jon Schiff, DDS.

Dr. Ong is a General Dentist but is able to provide a large degree of care for his patients, including, but not limited to, Oral Surgery, Endodontics, Implant Placement and Restoration, Composites, Veneers, Crown & Bridge, Dentures (Implant-retained), Full-Mouth Reconstruction, and Invisalign (clear braces).

Key West Dental Associates has a full-time Hygienist on staff (Jennifer), who is extremely gentle yet thorough. We are able to assist with your Periodontal needs as well.

We see patients of all ages, starting around 3 years of age.

We accept many different types of dental insurance as Dr. Ong is a Connection Dental Provider. Plans include, but are not limited to, Aetna PPO, Cigna PPO, Guardian, GEHA, United Concordia, Delta Dental, and certain Humana plans. We are a provider for State of Florida employees as well as Monroe County School Board employees. We recommend confirming your provider network through your insurance company prior to setting an appointment, however, rest assured, we accept and work with most PPO and some DHMO Dental plans.

We accept Care Credit and create individual payment agreements in order to make treatment possible for everyone. Feel free to inquire during your visit with us!
