The lineage of the physicians at Albuquerque Associated Podiatrists has been an integral part of the medical community in Albuquerque for over 50 years. During that time, we have had the opportunity to treat thousands of patients, many of whom have been fellow physicians and their family members. Our practice is very well known. We incorporate all different types of treatments- everything from surgical solutions to nonsurgical treatments. We are also acutely aware of the frustration caused when it takes weeks or months to see a doctor. Our staff strives to get patients an appointment within 24 to 48 hours. Our practice now consists of a third generation of foot and ankle specialists who have established a reputation for thorough, honest, efficient, and quality evaluation and treatment of all lower extremity foot and ankle conditions.

Dr. Mark Haas has been voted by Albuquerque the Magazine as the top podiatric doctor in Albuquerque 14 of the last 15 years. Albuquerque physicians voted on the best doctor in each specialty. Dr. Mark Haas has also won the readers choice award for the top Podiatrist by the Albuquerque Journal. His expertise and experience have endeared his reputation to his colleagues and patients.

Dr. Zachary Haas and Dr. Matthew Cobb completed an intensive foot and ankle residency program at the San Francisco Bay Area Foot and Ankle Institute. They are board certified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery. They have both podiatric and orthopedic specialty training in traumatic, acquired, congenital, and iatrogenic foot and ankle reconstructive surgery. They have specialty and advanced training in lower extremity pediatric orthopedic care including neuromuscular and skeletal bracing and surgical reconstruction. They spent time at the University of Iowa with IV Ponseti MD, world renowned pediatric orthopedic specialist. The focus of this training consisted of casting and minimally invasive surgical techniques in the treatment of clubfoot and metatarsus adductus deformities. Dr. Haas and Dr. Cobb are some of the only physicians in the Albuquerque area in private practice that have specialty training in this regard. They also have specialty training in ankle arthritis and total ankle joint replacements. They were trained by John Schuberth DPM, renowned total ankle joint replacement specialist. Both Dr. Zachary Haas and Dr. Matthew Cobb lecture nationally.

Dr. Chiu's medical education has taken him from coast to coast in the United States. He completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 2007, before moving east for medical school, graduating from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 2013. His residency took him back to the west coast and the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) Palo Alto Podiatry Residency Program and Stanford University.
Before joining private practice, Dr. Chiu was an assistant clinical professor at the University of New Mexico in the Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation department. It was during his early years of practice that he found his specialty area: diabetic limb salvage. Dr. Chiu works with countless patients with diabetes who come to him with severe infections in their legs. The conventional approach is to amputate the leg to get rid of the disease, but Dr. Chiu has found that many people are willing to try an alternative approach to save their foot.
