In 1976, Dick Adams Automotive was opened to provide quality, personable automotive repair in the Salinas area. The Company opened in September 1976 by Dick Adams himself. When the company was first opened, the shop was located on Alisal Street next to P G & E. There were 2 technicians working for Dick at that time.
In 1982, Dick Adams Automotive relocated to a larger building at 242 Griffin Street. The shop was one of the first in Salinas to have a computer system for processing repair orders. We have the latest equipment for diagnosis and repair of most vehicles.
Dick Adams Automotive provides outstanding civic service in the community through many organizations: The Salinas Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, The California International Airshow, The Salinas Area United Way and supporting local high school programs, to name a few.
In 1988, we became an official AC Delco Quality Installer. We believe in GM products, and since the majority of the vehicles we work on are American made, we carry and promote AC Delco products.
