Welcome to Northwestern Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the practice of Drs. Alexis B. Olsson, Michael Miloro and Michael Markiewicz. Our practice was built and assembled with one primary goal– to provide patients of all ages affected by disorders of the head and neck, jaws and teeth with the most comprehensive, yet compassionate and comfortable experience possible.

The group was founded by Dr. Olson, Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. His goal was to carefully build a practice to provide excellent patient care to the greater Chicago area and Midwest though the expertise, education, experience, training and most importantly, compassion of its providers. That goal was accomplished by selectively choosing his partners, Drs. Miloro and Markiewicz. In addition to providing facial trauma call coverage to the patients at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the Level I trauma Center in Downtown Chicago, the team of surgeons at Northwestern Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons also have training and experience in treating children and adults affected by disorders such as dentofacial (jaw) deformities, congenital and acquired deformities, cleft lip and palate, craniofacial deformity (craniosynostosis), temporal mandibular joint disorders (TMJ), nerve injury, and oral and head and neck cancer.

By being faculty and educators at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, as well as on the surgical staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, Drs. Olsson, Miloro, and Markiewcz will work with some of the best medical and dental specialists in the country to provide patients with the most comprehensive worry-free experience. In addition to being educated and trained to provide an excellent surgical experience for patients, we strive to address the “human” side of patient care, putting worries at ease and making patients comfortable regardless of their problem.

In addition to providing care to the greater Chicago area and Midwest, the doctors at Northwestern Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons also provide care globally via overseas mission trips providing cleft lip and palate repair to various sites around the world.
