Today, Asian Pacific Policy & Planning Council (A3PCON) announces the launch of our DACA Mental Health Project involving ten of our Asian Pacific Islander (API) member agencies. These community-based organizations— Asian Pacific American Dispute Resolution Center, Asian Pacific Counseling and Treatment Centers - APCTC, Asian Pacific Family Center, APAIT, Chinatown Service Center, Korean American Family Services, Koreatown Youth and Community Center, Little Tokyo Service Center, Pacific Asian Counseling Services, and South Asian Network, and—will provide FREE counseling, case management and family preparedness service for DACA recipients and their families. Services will be offered in various locations throughout Los Angeles County in the following languages: Bangla, Cambodian/Khmer, Cantonese, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Tagalog, Thai, Urdu and Vietnamese and English.

The #AsianPacificIslanderPartnershipforFamiliesCollaborative is up and running! On Sept. 15, Koreatown Youth and Community Center hosted our monthly Home Visitors Meeting, where staff from our partner agencies came together to share best practices for working with pregnant women and families with children 5 or younger. Our collaborative includes experts who work with the Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, Filipino and Cambodian communities throughout Los Angeles County.
