path toward God and so we seek to follow the example and living story of Jesus.

We value questioning in our search for understanding. We dare to embrace the
questions and ambiguities on our spiritual journeys with compassion because we trust that God’s truth is somewhere in the midst of them.

God calls us to form communities to do his/her work. We are stronger as a community than we are alone. Together, our vision broadens and our strength is renewed.

We thank God by working for a just and loving world. Edward Abbey said
"Sentiment without action is the ruin of the soul." We believe it is essential to pair caring with acting, gratitude with giving and service with advocacy in a life of prayer and justice.

We cherish the Bible and listen for the still-speaking God. We believe we are
called to be attentive to God’s Word as it comes to us from a variety of places: the Bible, the arts, political struggles, the sciences, education and especially in the voices of those who are often ignored.

We acknowledge all paths and invite all to the table. Our doors are open to
all God’s children from different faith backgrounds and all are invited to partake in the sacraments.

We embrace diversity and the variety of gifts. Jimmy Carter told us that we are a beautiful mosaic—different people, different beliefs, different yearnings, different hopes, different dreams. The differences make us all richer.
