Plant Land Garden Center was established in 1985 by Jerry Jenne and Ken Sundrup. Deb Wesselmann purchased Jenne's 1/2 in Sept. of 1988. Plant Land started out with 1 pole barn, a warehouse and one greenhouse. Additional greenhouses were added in 1987 along with the addition of coldframes in 1989-1995. Sundrup and Wesselmann sold Plant Land ( bond/deed) in Feb. 2005. After 5 years of turmoil and changes Sundrup and Wesselmann recovered Plant Land and rebuilt/reorganized and brought Plant Land back to it's present state. Plant Land now once again has a full line garden center with a two acre rock yard, Lakeside Brewing Wine and Beer Supply department, Wildlife Center ( bulk bird feed feeders, and wildlife houses and supplies), Bulk seed grass and vegetable, potting soils, tools and lawn and garden supplies. Plant Land Staff is knowledgeable and friendly although a bit wore out from the last several stressful years of rebuilding.
