Since 1983, The Nature Connection has been a leader in nature-based programming and works to create a world in which the therapeutic and educational benefits of nature are accessible to all, regardless of location, demographics, personal abilities, or socioeconomic status.
While we all benefit from access to nature, The Nature Connection primarily works with residential facilities, day programs, therapeutic schools, and after-school programs to bring the benefits of nature directly to youth at-risk, low-income families, children and adults living with disabilities, and elders with memory loss or other cognitive impairments. Our programming goals are to improve participants’ psychological and social wellbeing while fostering environmental responsibility and cultivating an understanding of the human-nature relationship.
