And can you say the SWEETEST teddy bear hamsters ever?! We breed our teddy bear hamsters in-house so you can rest assured that you're new best friend is well socialized from the early beginnings. We also carry dwarf hamsters, netherland dwarf bunnies, guinea pigs, chinchillas, hedgehogs, mice and rats. With supplies to meet all their needs, you'll be happy you came in. We're fish geeks too. Featuring Big Mack and Little Mack the red tail catfish, Bullet the silver arrowana and a handful of freshwater stingrays, come check out our even bigger pond. We'll help you build your own masterpiece, may it be a goldfish, a betta, a koi pond, freshwater tank or a beautiful saltwater reef tank. Are you a bird brain like us? For decades, we've bred and raised our own budgies (aka parakeeets) so you can be sure to get a great companion. All our other birds come from reputable, local breeders. We focus on the smaller species including: parakeets, cockatiels, finches, canaries, several small parrots and maybe the occassional terradactyl or two. If anything, come out and check out the crazy antics of our resident bird brain, Giorgio the Caique. While you're at it, check out Frankie T. Tortoise, our resident security guard who patrols the shop. We have one of the most diverse reptile selections in Metro Detroit. With reptiles and amphibians from coast to coast, we're sure to have something that you will get a kick out of. And with an owner so passionate about arachnids, you can be sure to find all sorts of creepy crawlies. We stock scorpions, tarantulas, vinegaroons and get new stuff all the time! And if all this isn't enough, come out and see Mitzy, the newest addition to the Lou's Pet Shop family. She's a ring-tailed lemur and is here to spread a message to everyone about lemurs.
