Damariscotta Montessori School

The Damariscotta Montessori School serves children from Preschool through 8th Grade. Our campus is located in the heart of Nobleboro on wooded acres that include a small working farm, play areas and plenty of nature to explore.

At Damariscotta Montessori School we believe that education includes more than basic academics. Our school is a community of compassionate teachers and staff who prepare an educational environment that supports community, respect and academic excellence to foster a life-long love of learning. DMS students develop characteristics of self-confidence, a sense of personal responsibility, and an awareness of their local and global communities.

This “whole-child” approach — coupled with our commitment to providing a strong academic foundation in an age-appropriate setting — has helped our children go on to become motivated learners, effective leaders, and active citizens.

Programs include: Core academic areas, Latin, Spanish, Chorus, Outdoor Education (gardening, nature studies, etc.), Art, PE and Cooking.

After School Programs include: Soccer, Cross Country Skiing, Art, Photography, Outdoor Education, Robotics, Violin and Destination Imagination.
