Koepsel's was started in the early 1940's and became an established business in 1958. Emma Koepsel started selling fresh fruit and vegetables that her and her husband August grew on their farm. She sold everything out of an old wheelbarrow on the side of the road. That old wheelbarrow grew to a table filled with Emma's canned goods. Eventually it grew from a table to a little building and it has been growing and changing ever since. Emma's son Eldred and his wife Mildred ran the farm market for many years and now their youngest daughter Karrie owns and runs the business. Many things change about the market every year but one thing that never changes is the quality of the products sold. The canned goods have always been made in small batches by the family, And when ever you come into the market you can always count on being greeted by a member of the Koepsel family.
