Happy Caturday! Cats can love their carriers. Leave the carrier out ahead of time, and help your cat to see it as a safe place by putting treats, catnip or favorite toys in the carrier. #Cat2VetDay

Wally is our Pet of the Day. This kitty sure is lucky. A client heard some meows coming from inside his office wall. When the wall was cut and opened up, a tiny kitten was there. Hence the name Wally. He is an adorable rescue.

Jade is our Pet of the Day. If there’s a breed most can recognize, it’s the Siamese. With its distinctive pointed colors and lean body, there’s no mistaking it for another breed. The Siamese is curious, smart, vocal and demanding. If you want a cat who will converse with you all day long, the Siamese may be your perfect match.

Yume is our Pet of the Day. He is a Chinese Crested puppy. Chinese Crested Dogs are a distinctive breed originally used as ratters on ships. There is no documented proof that that Chinese Crested originated in China. The similarities between the Chinese crested and hairless South American dogs suggests that these breeds might be distantly related. The Chinese Crested comes in two varieties – Hairless and Powderpuff. It is the Hairless variety, like Yume, that most people picture when they think of the breed. Within a single litter, you may find both types. The Hairless crested have silky hair on the tops of their heads, lower legs/feet and a plume on their tails, while Powderpuff pups have a full coat of silky hair all over. They are a happy and alert little guys that enjoy human companionship. They are funny and like to please their owners. If they find something that amuses you, they are likely to do it again to get your attention. Chinese Cresteds are said to be "cat-like" and enjoy sitting in high places like the back of a couch or the arm of a chair.
