Phoenix Yamaha Music School

We teach group piano, private piano, adult piano, violin, flute, guitar, and drums to all ages.

We specialize in teaching Yamaha group piano to ages 3-14 year old. We offer to beginning piano programs depending on the age of the student. The beginning JMC course (3-6 yr old) is a 2 year program. The beginning YMC course (6-9 yr old) is a 3 year program.

After finishing the JMC or YMC courses, student graduates to a 2-4 year course JXC, JSAC, or JAC, which teaches solo repertoire, ensemble repertoire, improvisation, compositions, transposition, chord progressions and theory.

Students can take the Grade 9 exam and continue with group lessons and traditional private piano lessons. Students will take Grade Exams all the way down through Grade 5, which qualifies them to teach the Yamaha program.

Students participate in ensemble concerts, solo concerts, Fundamental Skills Survey, Grade Exams, and regional and international composition competitions.
