Children are special and unique individuals. At Kids at Heart, Inc., we are staffed by caring professionals who know and understand the needs of young children. During a day at Kids at Heart, Inc., your child will discover many activities that encourage his or her physical, social, cognitive and emotional growth. Curriculum: Kids at Heart uses the Creative Curriculum throughout the center. The philosophy behind this is that children learn best through hands on activities presented in their natural environment. The most important thing we can teach your child is that learning is fun! Discipline: We use Conscious Discipline throughout the center. This is a comprehensive self regulation program that integrates social-emotional learning and discipline. It's based on the philosophy that discipline is not something you do to a child, but something you develop within them. This is done through combining classroom management and social-emotional learning within our everyday curriculum. At Kids at Heart we are a "school family", and we have important jobs and roles in each others lives. We use daily conflict to teach lifelong coping verbalization and social emotional skills.
The Staff at Kids at Heart, Inc. is aware of the anxiety parents may feel when leaving their children at a child care center. We try in every way to make the child and the parent feel comfortable with the care and attention they are receiving. We want our parents to feel secure about their child’s care and positive about their child’s care providers.
