Here's a little info on the Master's Advanced swim group we're starting at our Villa Maria location tomorrow, January 18th! Our Aquatics Director will be running a swim group geared toward improving overall technique and endurance for swimming. Workouts will be held Mon/Wed/Fri from 11:00 am-12:30 pm. Anyone interested in getting in better shape through swimming -- MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS ALIKE -- are welcome to come to our Villa Maria location to sign up!
SWIMMING OPPORTUNITY! Hey all you triathletes I just got this from Jack Burley the swim coach at Aerofit Villa Maria! You will want to take advantage of this!! :) Mary Starting tomorrow, Jan 18th, Aerofit Villa Maria is starting an advanced master’s swim group on Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 11:00-12:30. The main focus of this group will be improving our overall fitness through swimming exercise, with a special focus on technique and aerobic training. The intent is for this to be useful for people with specific goals, like triathletes, as well as people with open-ended goals for getting in and staying in shape. I’ll come prepared with workouts suitable for multiple skill levels, so as to create something that will be suitable for swimmers of all abilities. The workouts will vary from 1500-3500 yards (1-2 miles) per session. The cost is $78/month, with an initial 3-month commitment. The first month will be prorated, and then you’ll be billed on a set day of each month for the rest of the term. After the 3 months, the contract will automatically revert to month-to-month, and can be canceled or frozen on 30 days written notice. I understand that not everyone is going to be able to make it every day, so I don’t want to impose any sort of obligations on anyone for attendance. Anyone who signs up is free to come on any days they can for as long as they can. If you can’t make it for the full 90 minutes on one day, or you can’t make it at all on another, it’s not a problem. Anyone who comes in late will be able to run through a quick warm-up and jump in with what the group’s doing without a problem. There’s no pressure! I just want to create a welcoming environment for people who are looking to get in better shape by swimming. Please forward this to ANYONE you think may be interested. The more the merrier! The Jesse Coon Swim Meet is a USMS sanctioned event co-sponsored by the Masters of Brazos and Aerofit Health and Fitness Centers of Bryan. Saturday, January 21, 2017.
