"MORE FUN THAN A FROG IN A GLASS OF MILK" —BOB WEIR In another installment in our ongoing series of historic appearances of the Grateful Dead on film and television, in this clip, David Letterman features Jerry Garcia and Bob Weir on NBCs new show, “Late Night with David Letterman”, which debuted on February 1, 1982, and which aired at 12:30am, immediately following “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson”. Following two nights at the Nassau Coliseum during an East Coast spring tour, Jerry’s and Bob’s guest spot on April 13, 1982 marks the first of five Letterman appearances over the next 11 years. On the show, they talk about 60s memories (and amnesia), isolation, ashtrays, Deadheads, studio albums, taping (“when we’re done with it, they can have it”) and “X chemistry”, and also deliver intimate acoustic performances of “Deep Elem Blues” and “Monkey and the Engineer” (“tragedy narrowly averted”). Enjoy! Oh... remember to LIKE our page at www.facebook.com/LiquidSilverStream if you'd like to see other similar content (now and in the future), as well as FREE multicam HD streams of GD family and other jam bands. Thanks!

Please come join us for a free screening of the movie, Why Not Home? “Why Not Home? is a thoughtful look at complex issues. It’s down to earth style puts a human spin on the contentious topic of home birth. I hope that every expectant parent, as well as medical and nursing students see this film. There is something for everyone in this beautifully done film.” — Robin Elise Weiss, PhD, MPH, LCCE and President of the Lamaze Board
