Valley Legal Services of Hudson

Legal Services of the Hudson Valley is a not-for-profit law firm that was incorporated in 1967 as “Westchester Legal Services.” In 1995, the organization’s service area expanded to include Putnam and Dutchess Counties. In 2004, Rockland, Orange, Ulster and Sullivan Counties were added, bringing the total number of counties served to seven. Our name was changed to “Legal Services of the Hudson Valley” to reflect the geographic expansion of our service area.

Together our staff and volunteers have been able to provide free legal assistance to almost 300,000 clients since the organization’s founding. With easily accessible offices located in White Plains, Yonkers, Mount Vernon, Peekskill, Newburgh, Monticello, Spring Valley, Poughkeepsie and Kingston, NY, we are able to serve approximately 12,000 individuals per year.

Legal Services of the Hudson Valley is the FINAL HOPE for low-income Hudson Valley residents needing civil legal representation.
