CDPH provides content on Facebook to encourage participation with our science-based messages and discussion of health information.

Therefore, a comment will be deleted, at CDPH's sole discretion, if it contains:

• - Profanity, obscenity or vulgarity
• - Nudity in profile pictures
• - Defamation to a person or people
• - Name calling and/or personal attacks,
• - Comments whose main purpose are to sell a product, and
• - Comments that infringe on the rights of any third party, including intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights,
• - Spam comments, such as the same comment posted repeatedly on a profile,
• - Any and all other comments that the CDPH Social Media team deems inappropriate.
All links posted as comments on CDPH posts will be reviewed and may be deleted. Repeated violations of the CDPH comment policy may cause the author to be blocked from the CDPH Facebook page. Posting personal health information (including images) about an individual who is a beneficiary of a government program providing healthcare services, whether it is you or another person, is strictly prohibited. The Department has an interest in maintaining the privacy of Californians, including preventing the transmission of any data that might compromise a person's identity, and, in the process become an invasion of privacy.
We understand that social media is a 24/7 medium, however, our moderation capabilities are not. We many not see every inappropriate comment right away, and we are trusting in the maturity of our community to ignore personal attacks and negative speech and respond politely.
