Abbott House is a nonprofit organization serving foster children, children awaiting family reunification, youth with mental health issues, and adults with developmental disabilities (and their families). With services throughout the New York metropolitan area and surrounding Hudson Valley counties, Abbott House touches the lives of more than 7,000 people each year.
Working together with a network of friends, staff and community resources, Abbott House helps families come together and stay together. Our work with children helps heal and build resiliency, and encourages them to see a path towards a better life. By tapping into their unique skills, talents, and interests, we support our developmentally disabled adults to live a safe, meaningful, and dignified life.
