The Violetville Volunteer Fire Department was organized in 1906. We are a volunteer fire company located in Violetville, MD. We provide fire suppression, EMS and rescue services to our community and the surrounding areas including Arbutus, Catonsville, Halethorpe, Lansdowne, English Consul, Westview and Woodlawn.
We currently operate with two engines, one special unit and utility van:
ENGINE 341 - 2001 American Lafrance Eagle, 750-gallon tank with a 1250 GPM pump.
ENGINE 343 - 2010 Rosenbauer, 750 gallon tank and 1500 GPM pump.
SPECIAL UNIT 342 - 2008 Ford 450, 225 gallon tank with a 75 GPM pump.
UTILITY VAN 344 - 2006 15-passenger van.
We are supported by event hall rentals, fund raisers and county grants. Members are 100% volunteer! All moneys go directly towards the station maintenance, response operations and related expenses.
We are always looking for good people interested in volunteering. We welcome anyone interested in firefighting, medical aid or just wanting to help with events and hang out with friends at the station.
