Greenbrier Animal Hospital
Greenbrier Animal Hospital grew up more or less organically out of a cornfield. In 1968, with the encouragement of a dear neighbor couple, Greenbrier opened in a home-like building which housed the Grimm family, waiting and exam room, surgery, pharmacy and kennel.
The family apartment adjoined and was a ready source of help for the practice. Greenbrier was truly a family affair led by Dr. Dan Grimm, beside him, wife Virginia, and their children.
Over the years the growth moved the practice to the rear of the property. Doctors would join and move on and Greenbrier continues to seek talented and caring staff.
As Dr. and Mrs. Grimm’s family grew up and became independent, they turned their free time toward those around the world in need of a life of hope. They began international ministry trips using veterinary medicine as a door opener to impoverished and oppressed communities in South America, Africa, and closed countries. Today, they direct their own not-for-profit organization reaching out to many who suffer in poverty, often traveling to Bolivia and Africa.
Their work today is transformational community development.
The future of Greenbrier seems ever brighter. Continued commitment to sincere stewardship of the animal kingdom, genuine pursuit of medical advances, and a deep concern for the human animal bond should prevail. Good care, good medicine, and good people will serve your animal family well.
