In 1983, a small group of women began discussing the unmet needs of women in Central Florida. These discussions prompted ongoing meetings and the group expanded to include representatives of various women's organizations, all eager to work together for the common good of women. The group felt a need for an organization to serve as a networking center, to provide a place to cross-reference women's concerns and to act as a resource for women living in Central Florida.
WRC continues to offer its members the opportunity to meet the most interesting women in Central Florida, to build friendships based on shared experiences and to work together to improve the lives of all women.
