Evey Hardware was opened by Ed and Pat Evey in November 1953. The first location was on Brightwood Road where Bethel Bakery is currently doing business. In 1957, the store was moved to a location on Library Road. Then, in 1963, Evey Hardware moved to our present location at 5779 Library Road.
Our founder, Ed Evey, made the store what it is today - a hardware store offering the best possible service, advice, and the greatest value for your dollar. After 42 years of ownership, Ed passed away, but not before hand picking Andy Amrhein as his successor.
Andy runs the store in the same spirit as Ed. He has significantly increased the products and services provided by the store in order to meet the changing needs of our customers. Still, we always strive to provide the best possible service, advice and value.
Andy and Evey Hardware have become very involved in many community groups, charities, and local events. We aim to both support and serve Bethel Park and surrounding communities.
With our media presence and new technology, Evey Hardware has gained customers located both near and far. Our goal is to continue to offer excellent service to all.
