The Luray Fire Department was established in 1901 as two companies. One on the west end of town and one on the east end of town. The Luray Fire Department was reorganized on February 3,1928 as one company and one Chief and it remains that way today. There are over 100 members, associate members and auxiliary members on the roster. We remain 100% volunteer.
