Hawaii State Ballet

John Landovsky formed Hawaii State Ballet in 1983. The school's well-structured curriculum is designed to provide the highest standard of excellence in classical training.

The school emphasizes classical ballet which provides the basis for alignment, placement, technique, strength and musicality. Beginning ballet classes offer a simple introduction to the art form. Students are progressed through the nine levels of the Junior Program as their abilities develop and improve. The advanced Junior Company level classes require more discipline, dedication and focus in order to attain the level of technique and artistry required of a professional dancer.

Due to the physical demands of the performing art of classical ballet, students are encouraged to begin training at an early age to assure the development of their fullest potential.

Students at Hawaii State Ballet study in a positive and inspiring atmosphere, and are encouraged to develop at their individual paces.
