You’re in luck – our partners at the Capital Region Furniture Bank will happily find a new home for your gently used bedroom furniture. The furniture bank provides free, basic furnishings for people emerging from homeless shelters and domestic violence and is currently in need of bedroom items such as bed frames and dressers. The HATAS Capital Region Furniture Bank is a collaborative program that provides gently used home furnishings for consumers in Capital Region and beyond.

Three Catholic Charities workers, dubbed the “Albany Angels” by the group's Albany diocese, made their way from New York to the Houston area to help with ongoing hurricane relief efforts.

Thanks to the generosity of the Cohoes community – and the crucial work of our community partners at CAP COM Federal Credit Union, KeyBank, Pioneer Bank, and the American Red Cross of Northeastern New York – Catholic Charities is very pleased to now be able to do our part in helping the survivors of the Cohoes fire. 100% of the money raised will go to families and individuals affected by this fire. We’re here to help with long-term disaster recovery. Fire survivors are encouraged to reach out to Catholic Charities at 518-641-6953 to begin getting assistance
