Kewaskum High School Strives to enhance the technical education program through KHS Manufacturing. KHS Manufacturing is a yearlong class that offers students one credit and much more. Students in this class gain the real life experience of what it is like to run a business and have a career. Prior to applying it is required of the students to have taken Metal Working I and II, ensuring students are ready to construct products for customers. When the students are accepted they are responsible for the following: Quoting jobs Ordering materials Manufacturing parts Quality control Shipping product Receiving product and materials Invoicing Customer service Accounting Marketing Maintaining work hours
Besides the great experience gained, the students will also get paid a percentage at the end of the year, based on the hours they worked. The rest of the money earned will help further the technical education program by providing more equipment. The shop is hoping to become self-sustaining, but currently we are dependent on donations as well as completing projects
