The Caring Place in Georgetown Texas was created in 1985 by an alliance of eleven area churches to help northern Williamson County families in crisis make it through tough economic times. Not surprisingly, the staff and volunteers at The Caring Place served a record number of families in 2009 with Coats for Kids, food boxes, and financial assistance. Volunteers donated more than 73,000 hours that year alone, the equivalent of 35 full-time employees. 100% of all donations directly benefit families in crisis.
