BACKGROUND Wilbur Robbins, a top-performing salesman at IBM and then Simplex, founded Acroprint in 1969 in Raleigh, NC. Robbins introduced a time recorder which offered the dealer community an alternative high-quality, low-cost product. The heavy-duty Model 125 quickly became known for its durability and its trademark green color.
Robbins' son Glenn joined Acroprint after graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1973 and became company president in 1986, a position he still holds today. Glenn has led the family business through company expansions, new product development, and entrance into additional supply channels.
